Poco Filter FAQ - How can I filter mail that I've read into another mailbox?

Q: I would like to keep all my mail in my "In" box and once it has been read move it to another mailbox. How can I accomplish this with Poco?
 
A: You can run filters against selected messages to move them into folders but you must do this manually, there is no mechanism to run a filter as soon as a message is marked as read (or as soon as you move out of a message that has been marked as read during your reading of that message). To setup the filter system:
  1. Open the filters window (press F4).
  2. Select the "1" tab at the top of the form (it has the mailbox before the 1).
  3. Create the filters you want to use to move the read messages (you can duplicate existing ones to this area by opening the Incoming tab, right clicking on a filter and selecting "Copy to..." > "Manual 1", then disable the Incoming filter by right clicking again and selecting "Disable")
  4. Close the filters window.

Now, to filter your read messages in your "In" box:

  1. Open the "In" box.
  2. In the "Show only" bar select "Read mail".
  3. Click on a message in the mailbox index pane.
  4. Select "Select All" from the "Edit" menu.
  5. From the "Tools" menu select "Run Filters Now" > "Manual 1" (or press Ctrl+F5).
