Poco Mail Composition FAQ - Hiding Email Addresses when Sending Mail to Multiple Recipients
Q:
How do you send emails to more than one person without all
the other email address showing on all the emails?
A:
There are several ways you could accomplish this:
Use the "BCC" field to do this. If you want to do this from a script, use the
AddBCC command.
Download and use the "send_to_all_address_book" script (available from the
Registered users area on the Poco website). This sends separate copies of an email to all people
in a particular address book. (If there are 10 people in an address book then 10 separate emails are
generated by the script).
Set the "Split message if total recipients more than" setting on the "Sending Mail" tab of the
"Program Options" window (Shift+F7) to 1. This has the drawback of generating many messages for your
mail server to send and saving a copy of each message generated in one of your Poco folders. If you
use this technique then set the option back after sending the message.
