Currently, Poco is one of the most secure e-mail clients out there; adding MAPI will definitely
compromise this, to one degree or another and this will not please a lot of Poco users who
switched to Poco because of security concerns. There are ways around this, but none are without
their drawbacks.
In a reply to a question on the lack of MAPI functionality on July 4, 2001 Slaven said "I will be looking at MAPI again for Poco 3, and see if the situation has changed."
