Q: | My wife and I use four different email addresses and signature files. I set these multiple accounts up in
Poco. These all look to the SAME account on the POP/SMTP servers (mail is forwarded to one email
account). I find it very convenient to simply choose which account I am using and get the proper From:
email address and signature file for the letter I am creating.
However, I want to put any email that arrives into the "In" mailbox. Currently, I get multiple copies of any message that comes in for us. (Three copies to be exact.) I don't want to filter the mail for different accounts into different mailboxes, but I only want one copy in the "In" mailbox. How can I do this? Perhaps I need to take out the mail forwarding and look at each separate account? |
A: | I presume you are automatically downloading the mail for all the accounts (there is
a check in the box beside each in the account setup screen).
Do you have any settings specified in the "Virtual" tab for the accounts? If not then try setting a value in them such that each account is only retrieving the mail for itself. For more information on virtual accounts checkout the help file under "Setting up mail accounts". Note: The responder solved his problem by: "I unchecked the check marks next to the account names, except for one account. Now only that account gets mail." |
