Poco Reading FAQ - Indication of new mail

Q: Since I often leave my desk for 1/2 hour or even an hour, I would appreciate it very much if the Poco mail icon in the system tray would either continue animating indefinitely or at some point just change color so I would know that I had new mail.

A: I'm in a similar situation and I handle this by using PocoBot. It can be download (free of charge to registered Poco users) from the registered users area and can be configured to display a window when new mail is waiting on the server. The icon for PocoBot also changes when there is new mail waiting. The bottom of this message includes some samples of the icons and a screen shot of the message box that alerts you to new mail.

Another benefit is that PocoBot consumes significantly less resources than Poco.
